Qualifications and Requirements:
•Entrants must be active WVNLA members
•Entries must be Post Marked no later than October 1, 2010.
•At least eight but not more than twelve high quality photos must be submitted in jpeg or pdf format on a cd. In addition, please submit one photograph of the design for design/build projects and one before picture, if available.
Incomplete applications may not be considered for an award.
•Up to 2 entries are permitted per category, per company.

Awards:
•Each winning entrant will receive $1,000 cash prize
•Winners will be announced and awards presented at the WVNLA 2011 Winter Meeting.
•Winners names and award level will be published in the WVNLA Winter Newsletter and listed on the WVNLA web site with a direct link to the winning company website until the subsequent Winter meeting.
Judging Criteria:
•35% Overall appearance of project (including design quality, principals and appropriateness)
•20% Degree of difficulty (site location and access, facets of project, etc).
•30% Quality and appearance of materials (plants, hardscape, turf, features, etc).
•5% Quality of submitted photographs and materials (quality, appropriate view). Please include one photo of the project design plan for design build projects.
•10% Written narrative describing project scope design, difficulty, how well project meets required scope, or other points of interest.
Judges:
A panel of 3 or 5 judges will be selected from outside the membership of the WVNLA and may consist of Landscape Design/Build Contractor, Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer, Faculty Professor or Instructor, Landscape Construction Contractor or other related professional.
Release Information:
All materials will become the property of the West Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association and may be used for publication or any other purposes that the WVNLA deems appropriate. It is mandatory that this release authorizing photographs of the project and other acknowledgements for use in printed media or public display be signed by the entrant and by the client or owner of the project. It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to obtain all rights for the use of materials and photographs that where produced outside of the legal domain of the entering firm.
